Palau's "Rock Islands" sparkle like jewels in the sun. Enchanting, exotic and unique, Palau offers some of the most spectacular wall diving ever found. With drop offs to 3000 feet, there are lots of big animals- sharks, tuna, wahoo and open ocean pelagic fish. Soft corals abound as do gigantic sea fans of every color possible. We will be on the Aggressor live-aboard to experience maximum diving at this world class destination in the cusp of the Marianas Trench.

There will be a land-based side trip after Palau to Truk Lagoon. Truk Lagoon, without a doubt is THE best wreck diving anywhere in the world. This clear tropical lagoon contains the wrecks of over 100 planes, ships and submarines, all dating from World War II. All the wrecks are still in tact. You should plan on an extra 5 days for this side trip.

2011 will be our eigth trip since 1984. Any well-experienced diver will say that Palau offers the best diving worldwide. Vertical walls to three hundred feet await you. There are more species of corals and fishes in these waters than in any other place on earth. 2,400 species of fish as compared to 575 in Hawaii. It is a never-ending plethora of color and diversity of shape and size. The Blue Corner is a grey reef shark parade that you will never forget. Huge Napoleon Wrasse will come and eat hard-boiled eggs from your hand. There are an incredible number of fish species here in a diversity hot spot.

Jelly fish lake hidden in a jungle crater will be an unforgettable adventure. You will swim through thousands of stingless beautiful jellyfish. Oolong channel will provide you with a most spectacular pelagic experieces--thousands of schooling fish swirl around you as they are chased by jacks, sharks and tuna. Be immersed in the pyramid of life.
Enjoy the untouched. One of the most dense cabbage-coral groves in the world is off Palau's Rock Islands. You will fly through the channel with a seven knot current. This is not a dive spot for the faint hearted. The trident clams, are huge and colorful (and cultivated for sushi): four-foot 1,000 pound beauties. With luminescent colors provided by its symbiotic algae, these clams gleam blue beside hot pink anenomes.
Optional land tours provide the diver with splendidly huge waterfalls in the mountainous jungle reaches of Palau.
